Seiko Watch Prospex Speedtimer Sunrise Blue 1973 Mechanical Chronograph SRQ051J1.
This mechanical chronograph takes direct inspiration from the Seiko archives of the popular 1970s motor sports influenced chronograph releases. Inspired by the 'Seiko Sunrise' (6139) model from 1973, the dial of this piece is designed to evoke the colours of a radiant morning sky. A blue sunrise is symbolic of birth, growth and new beginnings, making it fitting to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Speedtimer.
Under a dual-curved sapphire crystal glass is a blue dial, featuring three white sub dials and a date window at 4.5 o’clock. The flow-shaped case design and intricate multi-row bracelet has a super-hard coating for increased scratch-resistance.
This piece features the in-house 8R48 mechanical chronograph calibre, allowing accurate measurement of elapsed time by combining a vertical clutch and a column wheel whilst being practical and wearable at 49.5 mm lug to lug with a 42mm diameter.
Prospex is a combination of the words 'Professional' and 'Specifications.' Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
